8 Night Exotic Southern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: November 21, 2008
Ship: Carnival Miracle
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Couple

We booked the cruise with in August for our 11/21/2008 sail date. said no problem with early seating due to how early we were booking. knew it was due to medical issues and said they would pass the information/notes on to Carnival. We were assigned late seating 8:15 and they would not change the time because there were many VIP passengers (10+) on Carnival, not Carnival owned ships, but Carnival and even if they had booked at a later date we were bumped out of our seating time. I have no problem with VIP embark and disembarkation, but all passengers should be treated the same once on the ship. We have traveled well over 15+ times with Carnival and Carnival owned ships and have never been treated as 3rd class passengers. We had no option but to eat dinner in the cafeteria and were not able to visit the dinning area one time during the 8 day cruise. To top it off Carnival blamed it on 100%.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Were not able to use the dining room at all during the 8 day cruise due to being assigned late seating - 8:15

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Entertainment as a whole was not impressive

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I would have given a better rating if it had not been for Miguel, the head of dinning room was rude and condescending.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Long ship, though small. Only 1 formal dining room

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin steward did a nice job

Sea and Snorkel trip was great. Cat boat and snorkeling. Snorkeling was not great, though a beautiful day.
Don't Miss: Cat boat on a nice day!

We zip lined in the rain forest. It was exciting and beautiful
Don't Miss: Zip lining in the Rain Forest

We are fans of the French side though the French side (Atlantic) was winding as it always is in November, though the Dutch side was warm without wind. Had a great time!
Don't Miss: Orient Beach

Pros: We did not allow Carnival to ruin our cruise

Cons: Carnival dismissive attitude and misleading of the facts

Recommends Carnival Miracle? No.
