My WORST cruise experience EVER!!!!

Sail Date: August 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was old, dirty and ran rough on the water. The captain informed us that the ship's engine's weren't running up to capacity. The ONLY entertainment was Karaoke, Bingo that you had to pay for, and a comedian the last night. The food was boring and lousy. My WORST vacation EVER!

Pros: our cabin steward was very friendly and knew us by name

Cons: where can I start? The ship - the crew - the food - the destinations

Recommends Carnival Miracle? No.

Ship Quality
Deck 9 where the food is, always smelled like garbage was sitting next to you. The ship was old, dirty and ran rough on the water. The rest rooms weren't easy to find.
Food and Dining
Same ol same ol. Pizza wasn't flavorful, the dining rooms food was boring and lacked variety. It tasted like a bad TV dinner.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nothing bad to say about the room or the staff that cleaned it.
Service and Staff
We didn't have too many staff members act as though they wanted to help with anything except "Big Sexy" the assistant cruise director! The rest of the staff seemed as though it was a chore to assist you.
Entertainment
The ONLY entertainment was Karaoke, Bingo that you had to pay for, and a comedian the last night.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
tHE HURRICANE Hanna prevented us from going here so the ship decided to "compensate" by taking us to Port Canaveral where the excursion there was to take us to Walmart! Yes you read it right WALMART!
Don't Miss: Walmart!
Grand Turk Island
tHE HURRICANE Hanna prevented us from going here so the ship decided to "compensate" by taking us to Newport Rhoad Island. There was NOTHING to do there! Nothing! Who in the world cruises to Rhoad Island?
Don't Miss: ???????????????
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
tHE HURRICANE Hanna prevented us from going here so the ship decided to "compensate" by taking us to Freeport Bahamas which was the dirtiest island I have ever seen. The beach was dirty - the water wasn't c;ean and clear - you couldn't see your feet in the water. VERY VERY DIRTY!
Don't Miss: The dirty filthy beach!
