8 Night Exotic Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: March 22, 2008
Ship: Carnival Miracle
Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Family (older children)

Parts of the ship were so beautiful that it was a shame it was decorated like it was. It looks like someone went to Vegas and tried to do a very bad impression of what middle America thinks it should be.

Food and Dining

Excellent food in the dining room and the service also was excellent!

It was both Easter and spring break and the ship was crowded with kids and teenagers running wild. It looked like there was very little supervision especially by parents!

Ship Quality

The ship was very clean but the layout was bad, I always had a hard time finding my room when I got of the elevator.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a suite so it was nice and roomy and it was kept very clean always.

Went to see the locks at Miraflores which was wonderful - we saw some ships actually going through the locks - but we traveled on the Isthmian railroad train which was so slow - beautiful but slow - we all fell asleep!

We went to Altun Ha via the Wallace river and it was great. We saw crocodiles etc in the river. The Mayan site was wonderful. It was like standing in a piece of history.

Pros: The large roomy suites and the fantastic food in the dining room.

Cons: The decor of the ship and the amount of kids and teenagers running wild with no supervision.
