A "Miracle" not..!

Sail Date: July 22, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

We paid a lot extra to get a wrap around deck and it was a horrible experience and the Purser's desk was unsypathetic. Twice, we had soot all over everything and twice while out on the deck, we had water poured onto us. Always had a constant sea mist as well.
Shows were limited to being in one theater, thus being over crowded and the level of entertainment aorund the ship was quite limited.
The food lines were long, choices were odd and confusing and they actually closed down a lot more than we're accustomed to seeing.
Room Steward was awesome as well as table crew at dinner. We hooked up with a super waiter in Frankie and Johnies! Other wise not very impressed at all.
Too much time spent in PR and to little time available in Tortola and St Martin......

Pros: Days at sea were relaxing!

Cons: Deck was a disaster and entertainment was limited. Food availability was poor at times.

Recommends Carnival Miracle? No.

Ship Quality
Deck was a maajor disappointment. Last day at sea we encountered numerous workes and areas closed in preparation for the next cruise.
Food and Dining
Main dinning was good, not great but good. Other dining situation was limited at best....
Service and Staff
Had a few issues with the Purser's desk being very unsympathetic and 1 or 2 rude workers.
Room staff and main dinning crew were awesome!
Entertainment
Only 1 really good band at night, disco was very small... Main entertainment was limited to 1 theater making it hard to get seating..
Cabin / Stateroom
Other than the wasted money for the deck, the room was very nice except for the bath tub drained only when it felt like draining and occasional "brown" water ....
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Again, to short of a stay... Went the the "Baths" and had just over an hour to experience the sights... Would have liked to be there a whole lot longer...
Don't Miss: Do the "Baths" tour. It's quite short in time but well worth it!!
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We got there late in the afternoon and much was closing by the time we got to it.... Not very impressed at all... Spent too much time here.
Don't Miss: Old San Jaun area and the Fort.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Not enough time to do very much... Went to Magan's beach and had about 1 1/2 hour to spend there. For one of the worlds top 10 beaches, I'd say it was way over-rated...
Don't Miss: Paradise Point offers good views and photos!
