Decent cruise, but would definitely not cruise from new york when school is out, given the amount of destructive children that were on ship (not all of them were bad). Crew is overall kicking butt post covid, trying to keep all guests happy. It was a blast just watching the crew with their positive attitudes and energy. Not my first cruise, won't be my last.

Verifly app very helpful for getting through quickly. Clustered arrival to drop off bags.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Lido was good. Guys grill and Guys bbq both great. Dining room only ok in terms of food. Had bad servers for most of trip, last night switched to new team in my time dining and service was much better.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Plenty to do. Always something of interest.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Didn't go to too much, but what we did go to was excellent.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room steward was amazing. Bar staff pretty good, but did get quoted specialty drink price and charged more. Also got charged for someone else's drinks, but carnival did correct this, giving us free drinks as an apology.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I think they did the best they could. The people on my cruise were slobs more than I've ever seen on a cruise, so I can't fault the cruise line
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Overall bed was ok, not very comfortable, but I've slept on worse. Balcony was nice, looked over hot tubs, which was noisy at times, but couldn't hear it when door was shut.
Ship tip
Ship is overall good. I would be very cautious in choosing new york to cruise from right after school gets out, the amount of terroristic kids was bad. So much vandalism and theft on board from the kids, just running wild. Don't bring valuable out, and even consider not putting a sign on your door. If you use a medical scooter, disable it when storing in hallway, kids stole one of those too.
