Review summary

Good cruise. Lots of loud and rowdy passengers with little respect for others. But still managed to enjoy ourselves.

First time for this size of ship out of Norfolk so lots of new stuff. Very long line but got through it.

Standard Carnival fair. I happen to like it. Dinner had some old recipes as part of their 50th celebration. Steak house is, as always, awesome. Pasta bar is great, but line up early to get in.

The last night's show was best ... rock and roll.

The crew are beyond awesome, and one of the main reasons we love Carnival.

It's an inside cabin, but nice for what it is. Good location relative to aft dining.

Ship tip

Use stateroom floors to bypass the crowds when moving from one end of the a ship to another.

We were warned there would be problems. We encountered none. Not as good as Baltimore but a five star experience anyway.

I was on the 5/15 sailing too. Where on the ship did you encounter rowdiness? I really didn't see that

Yours is the second review of that trip that said the passengers were a little rough. I hope we can be a polite nation and respect others. I appreciate your review and enjoy reading your comments and tips.

I am glad that you enjoyed your “getting back to normal” cruise on the Carnival Magic. Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We cruised on the Magic on 5/1/22 and I agree that the last show with the Rock & Roll performance was the best but we enjoyed many of the other shows too. The cruise director, Simon London, amplified the fun in everything that he was part of. Half Moon Cay is our favorite place. 😎🚢☀️🩴🏝🪸🐠🌺
