Embarkation and debarkation were the worst. Rest of the cruise was great except for the crowds everywhere.

No parking at norfolk cruise terminal. Had to park in a parking garage blocks away. Terminal a little small to accommodate 3,600 guests. It was crowded.

Food was excellent. Especially dinner in the dining room. Buffets food was good. Same selections everyday for breakfast. Long lines due to being at full capacity.

Hottubs at like 96 degrees at beginning of cruise and thrn felt hot when in bahamas.

Playlist productions were good. Love and marriage and desl or no deal game shows were hilarious. Simon London the cruise director is a born entertainer.

Everyone was friendly and looked very busy. Room steward kept room clean.

Common areas were cleaned often! Layout was okay. I've been on the pride and legend. I liked their layout better.
Cabin / Stateroom

My 1st time in a balcony room. I loved it! It had a pretty large step to get in and out of the bathroom. T.V remote didn't wok half the time.
Ship tip
Make sure to study layout of ship prior to boarding. Get ready for some fun! Cruise director is phenomenal!
Disembarked by muster station number. Very congested elevators and stairwells. Stopped the disembarkation process to realign the gangway to the terminal. Waited in line for over and hour just to get off ship. Once off and in terminal it went a lot quicker.

I agree with you that the cruise director, Simon London, is a natural entertainer. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5/1/22 cruise on the Magic.
I’m sorry you experienced problems with embarkation and debarkation. We were able to check in very quickly and only had to show our VeriFLY confirmation on our phones and then our passports. We then had to wait about 30 minutes before boarding the ship. We only had two carry-ons and two backpacks so we checked the carry-ons for embarkation and then carried everything ourselves for debarkation. We debarked quickly and we’re in our car at 7:30 am. The face recognition helped speed things up a lot.
