Wonderful time!

Sail Date: July 01, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was beautiful\, and most of the vacation was problem free\, but the crowds were ridiculous. It took hours to get off the ship in the ports. We had a room on level 1 and were woken up early by the line of people standing in front of our room waiting to get off the ship. We decided to go have breakfast before we attempted to get off and we were still in line for a long time. We were late getting to our excursion meeting point. Seems they would have a better system for that.

Pros: Red frog pub\, anytime dining

Cons: Crowded\, terrible debarking system at the ports

Recommends Carnival Magic? No.

Ship Quality
Elevators never came. Most were down so you waited 10 minutes anytime you wanted to go anywhere. Pools were tiny!!!
Food and Dining
Food was great in dining room and red frog. Lido buffet was mediocre. Eggs and bacon were terrible.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
We requested two twin beds and they put the beds together(we were two single moms traveling together with our kids). We asked them to separate them and to pull the upper bed down so we could put our kids to bed. We had to ask three times and he acted annoyed that we wanted him to separate our beds.
Shows were mediocre.
Children's Programs
Kids loved Camp Carnival and the water works!
