Review summary

We (two families) went on Carnival Magic West Caribbean 7 nights trip in Spring Break 2014. It was our first cruise and my friend's family 4th or 5th cruise. Before the trip started, I read a lot of reviews online. I was concerned about the motion sickness and stomach flu. It turned out neither happened. The ship was big enough and we were luck that the weather was nice. The first two days I was nervous and alerted to see if I have any motion sickness. Then the rest of the journey I totally forgot I was on the ship! I can see workers cleaning everywhere on board, the deck, handrails, elevators etc. Even the restrooms are clean! Sanitizer dispensers are everywhere.

We were very impressed by the foods served. Our friend reminded us to book 6:00 pm dining time with them in the North Light  Restaurant so every night we went there. Every day we had surprise! Open the menu, left side is every day menu, right side is today special. you can order as many as you want. Since we wanted to try a lot of things, sometimes I ordered several starters, a couple main dishes, one desert. Almost everyone in our group felt we overate everyday, but we could not resist the temptation! For seadays, there are brunch, which is also very good! I miss the foods on board!

The other fun part is shore excursion. The excursion packages were sold out when we tried to book on the ship. So we waited to get off the ship and booked directly with local people. We did zip line on Mahogany Bay, snorkelling in a private island in Belize, snorkelling in Cozumel, Mexico. We had our best time snorking in Cozumel, where kids saw a lot of fish!

We have teenages in the group. At first I signed them to the Circle-C program for teenages, they did not want to go. But after going there once, they kept on going back and had a lot of fun!

Overall we had an awesome cruise experience and definitely will do it again!
