7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: July 29, 2012
Ship: Carnival Magic
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (older children)
Reviewed: 5 years ago
The ship is amazing and very well laid out. We had only a couple of experiences where it filt crowded. The public areas were clean, though they are showing more wear than one should expect from such a new ship.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was consistently very good. We used the anytime dining option\, and never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. We do not recommend the Prime Steakhouse - it's not worth the money.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We loved all of the trivia games.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
It depends on where you were. The dining room staff was incredible (ask for Alex). Our steward was great. The photography staff were frequently rude and in the way.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
These rooms are nicely laid out\, with lots of storage. We had one of the family rooms that had a second bath - it was wonderful.

Pros: The excursions

Cons: Photographers everywhere\, in the way\, blocking your ability to get by.
