I thought being on a bigger ship would mean more shops, more things to do having such a large space. It was just exactly a cookie cutter to the Conquest but a whole lot more people. I also hated the smoking area. You had to walk through the casino on level 5 to get to the midship and aft parts of the ship. The smoking was horrific. They either need to have a better system of pulling this air up or NO SMOKING, especially when everyone has to go through the casino. The other ships had a side aisle to let the customers get to the other parts of the ship. The end of the cruise for leaving the ship was horrible. We finally was at the custom officer at 12:30 pm. Any other cruises, we are off the ship and heading home by 9:30 am. Was told it was because of the Honduras stop. WILL NEVER DO THIS ITINERARY AGAIN. Ports of Honduras and Belize were not great at all. Went to an excursion in Honduras to an all inclusive resort and we were covered with sand flea bites. Complained to the excursion desk and they said everyone was bit on the island owing to recent rains. Horrible stop. Crime is so bad in Belize, we were told to just stay at the pier with the shops if we didn't do an excursion after a 20 minute tender ride from the ship. Not worth it.
Have a bad back and asked for an egg crate for the bed which has always been accommodated for me with other Carnival ships. They didn't have this available and put an extra spread under the sheet. Not great. Enjoyed being with our friends for this trip.
Food and Dining
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: I like cruising, so enjoyed the laid back vacation.
Cons: The service in the fine dining room was less than great. Maybe not enough staff.
