6 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Sail Date: December 26, 2011 Ship: Carnival Magic Cabin Type: Inside Traveled As: Family (older children) Reviewed: 6 years ago
Nice ship (new) with many things to do onboard. The food was hit and miss, some excellent and some not so good. The staff was courteous and helpful all the time. I rate them exccellent as well. The entertainment fell well short of our expectations. We basically had 2 decent shows even though they had technical difficulties but they depended too much on the guests for shows and no fireworks for New Year's! No fireworks? Com'on guys.

Quality of food was hot and miss - some really good and some not so much.

Well short of expectations. The daily stuff (golf, basket court, etc) was very good but the Show Theater, stand-up comedians and piano player were mediocre at best

New ship (May 2011) I expected no less.
Cabin / Stateroom

Even though it was an internal stateroom, the condition was excellent, which is what I expected from a new ship. But well serviced as well.
