Would do it again!!

Sail Date: December 11, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

We traveled with our 2 year old and would do it again. the staff and kid camp kept our child content. we were able to attend the 8:15 diner while our child played. I loved hitting the spa and my husband enjoyed a book and a beer at the pub while our child ate dinner with the camp at 6pm .. nice down time for all!
i recommend the conch train tour in key west, the garden of the groves in freeport, and the atlantis adventure/beach day excursions.. our 2 year old enjoyed seeing all of the animals and enjoyed his first train and bus rides.

Pros: Wonderful Spa and Kid Camp

Cons: Buffet Lines and Shuttle back to car.

Recommends Carnival Magic? Yes!

Food and Dining
enjoyed the variety of food. nice pace of serving. able to order from a kids too for our 2 year old. slighty bland for our taste, but good quality and fresh.

nice shows, and holiday christmas show was a nice touch for the little ones by the end of the week.
Ship Quality

nice open layout!!
Cabin / Stateroom
very comfortable blacony on 9th floor. close to elevators, but did not hear dinging of elevators from our room..pretty quite for the location. enjoyed rocking 2 yr old on balcony each night to the sound of the waves. variety of port views over the course of the week. was worried we would only see the ocean from our room at ports.
Children's Programs
our child was pulling us to kid camp by the end of the week. they have a variety of toys and activities to keep them coming back for more.. very freindly staff.
Service and Staff
all are friendly and willing to assist at any moment.. my husband got sick from eating something mid cruise, the front desk gave us some alelterze when asking for the medical office location if we needed. and we lucky did not. it passed. the staff was willing to clean the bathroom when request. did not want to expose myself or 2 yr to any germs that am.. there is always a room stewart wondering/working in the hallways thankfully.
