Typical Carnival Cruise

Sail Date: August 26, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Typical Carnival summer vacation time cruise. Overbooked and being a brand new ship, training of employees in restaurant area was needed. Lido cafeteria area always too crowded and crew had hard time to keep up. Too few activities planned for entertainment. Carnival has added nice new bars and private areas the Magic. Redfrog pub was a definite improvement from bars in the past.

Pros: Price and ports visited

Cons: Crowded and zoo like atmosphere due to excessive children and overbooking. Ship had 4400 people on boat that was supposed to accomidate 3500.

Recommends Carnival Magic? Yes!

Food and Dining
Poor selection in Lido cafeteria during lunch and dinner.
Service and Staff
Ship Quality
