Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The ship is beautiful, and it is wasy to get around--maybe we were just lucky, but everything was wonderful.

Pros: Everything, but the trip, and it's ports are the big plus--we were able to see so much

Cons: I cant' think of anything! The prices were fair, the food was good, the people were very nice.

Recommends Carnival Magic? Yes!

Children's Programs
My kids had a BLAST
Cabin / Stateroom
They are small --really small, but adequate
Service and Staff
Everyone was really nice, very kind
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Marseille (Provence), France
We went to Arles and Aix--it's hard to get around France if you don't speak french. Arles was OK, Aix is quite urban--safe but very busy. Not sure I'd do this one again, but seeing the Van Gogh tour was great. Although, the passengers that stayed in marseille seemed to have a great time.
Don't Miss: Van Gogh
Messina, Sicily
We did the Taormna on your own--it is easy to get around and reallly fun--we went to the beach for a bit--it was fun but don't let the people charge you for chairs--that's a rip off.
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
we walked two blocks up from the TI at the cathedral and took the #3 bus to Illetes to a beautful beach--the bus was 1.25 each was
Don't Miss: beach
Naples, Italy
A taxi driver who speaks English is a goldmine here--taxi's are roughly 30.00 an hour and a good driver can take you to Pompeii and you'll still have time to see the town...the pizza in naples (Marios near the port) was the best meal of the entire trip--it was absolutely awesome.
Don't Miss: pompeii
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
We did the highligths tour--we didn't see the inside of the coliseum but we saw the sistine chapel and had plenty of free time too
Don't Miss: ROME all of it is a must see
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
I think the leaning tower is a must--Florence was beautiful and to see DAVID was amazing. The food on this excursion was not good, but the venue was beautiful
Don't Miss: Leaning tower
