We had a wonderful cruise! I believe that cruising and life in general is what you make it!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This was the fastest embarkation of any my 7 cruises. So smooth!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Overall, the food was good! Love Blue Iguana. Sea day brunch is a must do!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We enjoyed the slide, pools (a little cold), and hot tub! Certainly not as many activities as our cruise last summer on the Mariner of the Seas. However, we were never bored!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Enjoyed all the entertainment, which was plentiful throughout the ship! MarQ is a great Cruise Director! One of the comedians was excellent but the other struggled at times.
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
Both my children went to Circle C and said it was not very exciting. They both enjoyed the teen club on Mariner of the Seas more.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had excellent service, especially in the main dining room and our room steward was great! Could have more servers in the entertainment venues taking drink orders. It sometimes took a little while to order a drink. Many times I just went up to a bar and ordered directly. I don't really have a problem doing that but it is something I noticed.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was pretty clean but is showing some wear. Also, there was a leak from the ceiling on deck 1 that they set buckets out to catch and fans to dry the carpet. I did notice that they were doing repairs and painting the hull of the ship when we got off at Freeport.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We were happy to get a free upgrade to an ocean view cabin. We liked the location. We really liked that when we arrived back to ship on port days we did not have to wait for the elevators. We just walked up one flight of stairs. This was our first time in deck 1 but I think we would book deck 1 again in the future. I had read reviews about the bad smell. We did notice an odor when we were in the hallway. Did not ever have the smell in our cabin. We were 4 people in the same cabin. We had plenty of storage and enough room for all of us. This cabin does not have an upper pullman bed. The couch turns in to a bunk bed and functioned well for our 13 year old children.
Ship tip
Eat at the Blue Iguana Cantina as often as you are able!!!!
This was our second time in Nassau. This time we walked to Junkanoo Beach and had a lovley time. If you go a little farther down the beach it is not as crowded. We would definitely do this again.
The paper given to us in our cabin with self assist information was different from what we were told when we went to the location. We did have to wait a little bit but was still very smooth!
