Review summary

We had a great time and were so excited about our first cruise trip. It was a little tiring that traveling with two little kids but not too bad since food/entertaining were provided. It took us a little time to figure out the events/locations. We will go again for another one soon hopefully.

Overall it was good. The last dinner meals on Golden were the best, especially the Indian vegetarian combo. The first formal dinner was not quite good and my husband's steak tasted old/dry. Buffets did not have as many choices as we expected though. I always like soups but all soups I tried were very salty. We joked the soup was made of sea water.

The waiter named Ken did a great job entertaining my kids by making 'duck' and 'rabbit' when we dined there. Our house keeper Anita is wonderful and she called all names of four of us every time when she saw us. It was very impressive!

My friend thought it would be nicer to add a pool with less than 3-4ft deep, which is more friendly for younger kids.

Decent size My daughter loved the bunk bed.

Ship tip

Know about the programmers /events and plan activities ahead. Formal dinning takes long time and not fun for little kids. So put them in kids club. Do registration beforehand.
