Review summary

Nice cheap cruise with plenty of partying, drinking, food, gambling and entertainment to keep most people busy and happy. Many family reunions on this cruise

Embarkation

5 out of 5
I cruise at least twice per year, and this was the absolute best embarkation of every cruise line that I have been on. Straight in to A/C to sit and wait till actual boarding time then once zone was called it took about 10 min to get on board and too the buffet to wait for the room to be ready

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was average at best, Dinner repeated every night

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were a lot of activities like all cruises, but they seem to always be the same thing and generally very boring. I cruise I bit more so maybe it is just me, but I felt that way on my very first cruise

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Although they did have a bit of entertainers that moved around the ship and they kept most of the people entertained, many were not that good at the songs they were singing or performances

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Although I don't have kids, all ships, including this one seems to do a great job keeping them entertained and kept to the kid area's of the ship, so that adults can enjoy without kids under foot.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service was minimal although everyone was very polite. Housekeeping was half as often as normal. Wait staff was slow and bar staff was even slower if you found one on the floor

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Cleanliness was very good as always on the ships, but this ship was very different then others I have been on. I think it was the smallest ship I have been on by the design. navigating around this ship was very difficult as a lot of decks would dead end and you would have to go up or down decks just to get past it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I always do an interior room incase I want to take a nap or sleep in. with no balcony or portals, it stays much, much darker. Interior rooms are small but I don't spend time in them, but it was organized and had enough room to move around with all of our stuff.

Ship tip

Ensure you have your map for this ship. They have the Carnival Hub app, that is not quite perfect yet, but I am sure it will improve, but does provide some good info now and is free

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
New port location since I have been here, I live local so did not do anything at this port other than get on and off the ship

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Did not do any excursions, generally don't enjoy any of the Bahamas ports. For us this was a weekend trip just to get away. Easy walk off of the ship, shopping right next to the ship, beaches are a paid taxi ride away or a 15 min walk to the closest one (not really that nice, but water is nice and clear).

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very well organized, one of the absolute best by far that we have ever done. From the call for our area to disembark till we were off the ship, through customs and out of the building was a total of about 10 min. Our cabin was in the back of the ship and disembarkation was off the front, customs took the longest time to get through taking about 5 min. all in all extremely smooth.
