Review summary

We had a midship room, and the air conditioning was almost non existent. when we would return to the ship after a long day on a shore excursion, we just wanted to relax in our room for a while, but it was too hot even with the AC set at the coolest setting. Our friend's next door had the same problem, but just down the hall our Daughters room was very cool all the time. In addition to sweating all night, there was a loud clanging noise outside our window off and on all night long every night  as if something was slapping the side of the ship. Our neighbors heard the same clanging noise as well, and when we complained about it were told it was probably just the water slapping the side of the ship. I'm sorry, but this was an obvious metal on metal clanging noise making it impossible to get any sleep. On another note, we have been on several cruises with Carnival as well as other cruise lines, and were very disappointed with the quality and preparation of the food. It was often barely warm, and the meat was dry. Even on night of elegance, the lobster was not fresh, very mushy and tasted as if it had been frozen for some time.

We purchased the Faster to the Fun pass, and were waiting in the same lines with everyone else so that was a waste of money. We were given a boarding time of between 2:30 and 8:30 P.M., and when we arrived, it was obvious that they had started boarding way earlier. Some guests said they had been on since noon. This was upsetting because we had to make special arrangements to check out of our hotel late.

This was by far our worst cruise experience. The only real positive thing I can say is the Caribbean is beautiful, and Guy's Burger bar was the highlight of this cruise.
