Room Type: Oceanview

The cruise was fun and the food was average at the buffett and not much better at the dinning, though presentation was much nicer.  The staff at the dining and all around the ship are well trained in helping/catering to the guests.  The cabin while on the first deck forward was clean quiet and had a great view of arriving at ports in morning (ocean view) Plenty of room for clothes etc.

The entertainment was lacking for dancing and just music.  Some of the performers were not much better than karaoke grade, the exception  being the comedy acts.   On deck 5 to get anywhere you had to pass through the smoky ( not  nice) casino and that was an area that offered some dancing before 11pm.   Pictures….Carnival...  get a grip on this "feature"……many of the photo spots (and there was a zillion) spread themselves in the walkways becoming a hazard in normal time…..what if there was an emergency and the aisles were blocked.

Overall agreat time for our group of eight, didn't expect high end ….didn't get it.

Great ports of call, but I would have liked more time at each to get a better feel for the islands…maybe 2 days which allows nite experiences (turtle walks) local entertainment….not the port stuff.

Ship Quality
Had some issues showing its age (paint and decor ),and some thruster issues
Food and Dining
Good quality service at dinning and good food, but not super super great
Service and Staff
Well trained and attentive
Just above karaoke quality, not enough dancing in non smoking areas
Onboard Activities Way too much pushing photos, and art auctions, little of big interest
Destinations and Excursions
Would prefer spending some nites in port
Cabin / Stateroom
Problem with sink stopper and a knocking while underway…..but good size and space, nice to have the window as you got into port in morning with sunshine coming in, looking at waves at nite
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Got there a day early and spent Sunday on a trip to a local town for dancing and food..not touristy
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
A favorite island of ours, Meagens bay, beautiful, beautiful
Bridgetown, Barbados
Didn't see much as we took the snorkel and sail tour
Castries, St. Lucia Great island and touring the hills….the zip line and the little harbors
Basseterre, St. Kitts Did not go here schedual changed ship issue
Philipsburg, St. Maarten Gorgeous island and we got a little beach time and a little visited town

There are some hidden lounges (why???) that we found last nite on cruise that looked like some band may have played. (maybe the same ones?) But look for them in the aft sections. Not many big shows. Take some water but you will eventually dink some on board. Book off ship trips
