We had a good time.
Carnival Liberty Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Review SummaryFourteen family members took this cruise. For the most part, it was very good and we had a very nice time. We particularly enjoyed the staff: housekeeping, food service, etc. They were kind, friendly, competent, and accommodating. We also enjoyed the variety of food choices and type of service (buffet or sit-down): something for everyone. We thought the ports-of-call were excellent.
Our major complaint is about the handicapped accomodations. We were traveling with an elderly (90+) couple. Our uncle is in a wheelchair and our aunt has a hard time walking very far. Their cabin (#9204) was poorly layed out and located. Inside the cabin there was no room for us to roll the wheelchair to the side of the bed. Therefore, we had to get our uncle out of the chair, put him on the edge of the bottom of the bed, collapse the wheelchair (because the floor space as so small), and maneuver him to the head of the bed. Then, since the corner of the counter literally projected over the bottom corner of the other side of the bed, our aunt had to literally crawl over the bed to get into it; she was unable to walk down her side of the bed. Then the cabin was located about as far away from an elevator as was possible. This is not good for a handicapped person.
