Family Cruise on the Liberty

Sail Date: April 07, 2012

Room Type: Balcony

Overall it was a good vacation. Had some major issues with getting food for my 6 year old son with a gluten allergy for the first couple of days. We were told on several occasions that gluten free food was readily available only to get onboard and find out they needed 24 hours notice for everything to be made. That meant that as we were finishing our first dinner they needed to know what our son wanted tomorrow for breakfast and dinner. They never seemed to care what he had for lunch they never asked about it. How does a 6 year old know what he wants to eat the next day. It took a few days but it got better.

Pros: The dining room staff

Cons: The difficulty in obtaining gluten free food for our 6 yr old son with a wheat/gluten allergy

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
They wanted our son's food ordered 24 hours in advance. That was pretty hard when we sat down for dinner 5 hours after getting on board in Miami. Quality and overall taste and seasoning was what you would expect from a chain restaurant. Not the 5 star dining I received on Carnival Destiny 15 years ago.
Children's Programs
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
Carpets needed a good steam cleaning
