I traveled previously on Norwegian, but was more impressed with the Carnival Liberty ship. The staff were all friendly, and not looking for an extra tip. The rooms were larger and cleaner, and the night time shows were fantastic. The activities were very well organized and there were plenty of options for things to do when you visited the different islands. You could sign up for an excursion, or just lie on the beach. I booked my excursions 2 weeks prior to the trip and everything went well, as planned. I highly recommend this trip.

Pros: Well organized, clean and friendly staff

Cons: Smoking on ship

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Food and Dining
We didn't have dinner in Harry's Steak House, but mostly because we didn't feel the need to pay the additional $30pp, when the Olympian rooms offered great choices each night and the steak there was wonderful. We had "anytime seating" which is recommended, so you don't have to eat at the same time, every night.
Cabin / Stateroom
Plenty of room for storing clothes, shoes, etc. Better than expected.
Service and Staff
Everyone was friendly, and I was concerned that everyone would be looking for additional tips, but this did not happen.
Ship Quality
It took us 2 days to locate all the different areas of the ship, but we managed fine. Everyone....guests and staff....were happy to assist us whenever asked.
The shows at night were great! Well organized. Great singers and dancers, and the entertainment in the lobby each evening was great as well.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We didn't book an excursion so we were a little lost about what to do. We should have visited the excursion desk for advice, but decided to 'wing it' for this port. The architecture of the buildings is beautiful....very european and the shopping is great, so worth just strolling around the port.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Loved it! We kayaked here, but afterwards, we went to the beach and floated around on rafts. The barbecue was well organized and the food was great.
Don't Miss: Just don't miss getting off the ship!
Grand Turk Island
We went on the snorkeling and sting ray adventure and definitely recommend it. The crew is funny and entertaining, and the snorkeling is the best I've seen. Holding the sting ray, feeding it and being massaged by it was pretty cool.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We went on the dolphin adventure and loved it. The downside is that you really don't get enough time with the dolphins. The upside is that you get to swim with them, kiss them, and you get great photos.
