Absolutely wonderful trip!

Sail Date: June 11, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Overall, my wife and I had a fantastic overall experience on the Carnival Liberty! Large ship with plenty of events for both of us! The entire staff could not have been better! The foods in the dinning rooms were top shelf, but the buffets could have been better. (Side note: My wife thinks the salty humidity might have played a role in the inferior quality of the foods on the buffet lines. They were on the top deck and exposed to the ocean air.)

Pros: Staff/Service

Cons: Grand Turk, was this stop even necessary?

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was great! Large, but not too large. However, it would have been nice to have a few more bathrooms available around the promenade.
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Wished a lot of the activities lasted more than 30 minutes. (Especially the comedy shows!)
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Take one of the tours around Old San Juan. There were 3 types to choose from aboard the Liberty that were full if done through the website. Good city to do a walking tour as well!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Definitely do some shopping while in port. Jewelry and alcohol is cheaper here than at any of the other ports we visited.
Don't Miss: Snorkel with the sea turtles. Great for everyone!
Grand Turk Island
Nothing to see, nothing to do. However, there was a rumored excursion to snorkel by a sunken ship that was pretty decent. Otherwise, there isn't a thing to see on this island. Island had the feel of a shantytown and looked of it too.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Excursions are not a must here, but it might be useful to get a private area if part of a group of more than 5 people.
