This cruise was so much fun for my wife and I for our honeymoon. We did not know what to expect because neither one of us had gone on a cruise before. We both agreed that it was the best vacation we had ever had. All of the staff on board were so friendly and were sure to give us the daily greeting as we passed them. We were so glad that there were separate events for children as well as adults.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was great. In the dining room the menu was different every night. If you were to go to another restaurant around the states and order a meal a guarantee you would not get your food as fast as what we did in here. The wait staff in the dining room was also very friendly and and the entire experience wonderful. The buffets were open pretty much all day long, which gave you a large variety to choose from to fancy anyone's appetite. Also they had a pizza bar that was open 24 hours a day. We also stopped by the free sushi bar from time to time.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All of the entertainment was a lot of fun. Weather it was a show, a comedian, or games we were sure to have a blast. The thing we enjoyed the most was the 18+ events. The event we had the most fun at was the adult scavenger hunt, I don't think we stopped laughing the entire time.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every staff member on the ship were always ready to jump and help with anything you asked for. The one thing that really surprised my wife and I was that after only one day the staff we saw on board remembered our names and would address us by them when we passed them in the hall or at dinner.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was enormous! It took us the entire cruise to figure our way around the ship without a map. Everything was always kept clean and tidy at all time no matter what part of the ship you were in. The only thing I found inconvenient was that on some floors your couldn't access certain parts of the ship without going up or down in floors to get there due to dining rooms being closed for cleaning or something like that. It seems to me that there should have been a hallway or something to get around it.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our stateroom was very nice. We had plenty of room to move around the room as we needed and especially enjoyed our extended balcony. It seemed like whenever we left our room by the time we came back weather it was 5 minutes or 5 hours the housekeeping got in there and cleaned everything up for us. We really enjoyed getting little animals made from towels on our bed every night.
In Ocho Rios we climbed Dunn River Falls and then went down the Bob sled thing. Both of the excursions itself was a blast and probably one of the most fun things we did on the cruise. My recommendation is to never ever buy anything from some on the street or from someone that is trying to force you to buy something (there is a lot of this there). The locals here are very pushy to get you to buy something and will try to rip you off if given the opportunity. If you do decide to buy something from someplace other than a store then make sure you have a set price before you pull any cash out of your pocket.
This was probably our favorite place that we stopped. Everyone on the island spoke perfect English which made thing much easier. Here we went para sailing and had a blast. My wife was very nervous about doing it but once she was up in the air she was disappointed she had to come back down. There are lots of shopping opportunities at this port but make sure you watch the currency exchange. The pricing may seem reasonable but check when you change it to US dollars it turn out a bit more than you think it is.
Cozumel was a lot of fun. We went horseback riding to the Mayan Ruins. It was relaxing and very informative and our tour guide was super motivated the entire time. If your decided to stop at the restaurants while you are there be careful when ordering a mixed drink, they are not shy with their alcohol at all.
