Wonderful Way to Spend the Holidays!

Sail Date: December 24, 2010

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

This was my fifth cruise in six years with Carnival. We had a great time overall. In the past there were things done on the cruise that were not done on this one (ie: Captains dinner had free cocktails in the past). Having a comedy area was a nice option from the regular shows however there were only a couple of nights they did it and they were repaeat shows each time which was disappointing. New Years was very cool on the Lido deck however the Pre-New Years in the Lobby was very crowded.

Pros: Length of cruise, ports of call, New Years Eve

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Food and Dining
Loved the Mongolian Grill. The waitress we had was not as personable as some we have had in the past.
Ship Quality
One of the larger of the boats we have been on. It has been well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a handicap unit which meant our bathroom was very large so that was great!! Of course the towel animals are always a big hit!
Service and Staff
All crew members were happy to help out when needed.
Overall many options on the boat but we didn't take part in alot of them.
Children's Programs
Our youngest child really enjoyed the Camp Carnival activities. Our boys did not get into the older activities as much.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Taxis to the beach were quite pricey and since it looked like it was going to rain, we opted to just stay close to the port walking around.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
This is the place to buy your liquor....great prices! We just took a water taxi to the beach and hung out for the day. The public beaches meant there were alot of people pushing things on braiding, jewlery, etc which was annoying.
Grand Turk Island
Just hung out at the beach and Margaritaville
San Juan, Puerto Rico
My favorite port of call yet. The rainforest is a must see and walking around Old San Juan was really neat too!
Don't Miss: The rainforest
