Great cruise

Sail Date: December 04, 2010

Room Type: Oceanview

Overall the cruise was great, the weather was great for the all the days except one, Ocho Rios, where we got some light rain, but the overall experiance was great. The ship is well appointed, and clean. This was our second carnival cruise, and loved the overall Carnival experience. One downside was some of the heads of the cruise, comparing the last cruise director, assistant directors it was a little bit of a let down, not enough to upset me, but noticeable. The ship was great as it was quite a bit larger than the previous ship, Carnival Spirit, and added things like the on deck big screen. In regards to the ports, Ocho Rios was little bit of a shock, as it wasnt quite what we expected. The town is really quite a mess, and not the picturesque white sand blue water you see in brochures. Grand Cayman and 7 Mile beach were great, and Cozumel was quite nice as well.

Pros: Ship ammeniies

Cons: Ocho Rios

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Food and Dining
Food was good, though i think the chef on the last boat was a bit better. Also i suggest the early dining as the food seemed to be a bit better.
Ship Quality
Overall the ship was in great shape and no noticeable let down to me, and having come from working in a 5 star hotel for years, i have a higher level of pickiness than most. Overall ship was great.
Cabin / Stateroom
The stateroom was great for two adults and two children, very comfortable with the bunk set up for the kids.
Service and Staff
The dining staff was great and a ton of fun. The house service group was ok, but not as friendly as the last boat. The entertainment team was eh, so thats the reason for the one less smiley.
Entertainment
Children's Programs
Couldn't get the kids to come to diner with us! Camp staff was great and very nice. Also had some great activities for their age groups (9 and 7)
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Dirty city, and seemed to not get a lot for the zip line and lazy river. The zip lines were very very short, but the tubing was fun, just not worth the 95 a person, which is also the same charge for the kids.
George Town, Grand Cayman
7 mile beach, great place to sit and spend the day doing nothing and swimming. Couple we sailed with went scuba diving and said it was absolutely unreal and would go back just for that!
Don't Miss: 7 mile beach, scuba diving
Cozumel, Mexico
