Caribbean Eastern Liberty

Sail Date: July 10, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Boat was great - food is best part of trip. Boat did not stop in Grand Turk which was the only stop we really wanted in this iternerary. Drinks are stupidly expensive and excursions overpriced as well. Whole experince was so-so.

Pros: Food

Cons: Too little port time - to much sea time

Recommends Carnival Liberty? No.

Service and Staff
On the nights there was entertainment it was pretty good. But bingo as entertainment ?????
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Nice beach but on departure we had to wait in a line in smoking hot sun for 45 minutes to be picked up by tender. Got fried big time.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Old Town San Juan is neat. Rum sampling at a cafe is the hi-light of this place
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Forget this place - do ST John instead. A 14 yr girl from another cruise got killed by a stray bullet the day before.
