Review SummaryFrom June 28 to July 5, 2008, my wife & I sailed the eastern carribean on the Carnival Liberty. This was our 5th cruise with Carnival. We used the same representative who assisted in scheduling our cruise last year. She, again, was very professional, courteous, and had exceptional customer relations skills.
Upon arriving at the Carnival terminal our transfer from the bus to embarkation went smooth and expedient. We received our luggage within 2 hours of boarding the Liberty. Compared with what we had read about the Liberty and what we actually saw and experienced did not accurately describe the true beauty and elegance of this vessel.
The Liberty had everything we needed to make this Cruise another extraordinary experience on Carnival.
We proceeded to the Lido deck shortly after boarding to get something to eat. The food as usual was delicious. The music was appropriately carribean, and we watched the beautiful Miami shorelines and fashionable homes as the Liberty pulled out to sea. We can summarize this entire experience as extraordinarily enjoyable and exiciting. After 41 years of marriage, we were like two young folks having the ball of their life. The food options were plentiful, from our reserved table in the formal dining room, to the two restaurants on the Lido Deck, the New York Deli, the Mexican food grille, the poolside grill, 24 hour Pizza, and much more. Each evening we prepared our itinerary for the next day. To avoid waiting in line we scheduled our excursions on the television. Then, after our return from the on shore excursions, we followed our selected itinerary, which included the pool deck, eating, drinking (miami vice in keepsake glass), cafes, and always the main Shows, and more. All the crew members were super. Whatever we needed we got. It is amazing that we spent 7 days on the Liberty and didn't see half the activities they had to offer.
We can recommend in all truthfulness to anyone, that if they are looking for a good time take a Cruise on Carnival Liberty, Glory, or another of the appropriately named ships.
We believe that Carnival Lines are the true Fun Ships of the cruise ship industry.
