Sail Date: July 15, 2007

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Suite

We took this cruise with several other family members. Overall we had a good time, but on several occasions, the customer service was severely lacking. At one point my oldest child (11) got lost and despite telling several crew members, no one offered to help me find her. One of the members travelling with us also despite my best efforts, had too much to drink on the first night and although we took her to her room for the night, she left and the staff continued to serve her when she was obviously intoxicated and she received a serious injury in the process. It ruined the cruise for her and we were told that they had a strict policy about not serving intoxicated customers. I also caught the Nor virus on the last day.
On the positive side one family members steward was wonderful to her and our waiter was awesome. It was nice to be able to order room service at any hour. The food was pretty good and getting off at ports was quite organized.

Pros: the ship was pretty, some of the staff superb, and overall enjoyable

Cons: some of the service was lacking, need to be more customer oriented

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
nice port, we went on a open air bus and to the beach and a fishermans village. the beach was nice and private and not too many people, they served lots of drinks, soda, water, beer and had a snack for us and the guide was really funny.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The sting ray city, hell, and turtle farm wasn't really that great. The turtle farm was nice but that was about it. Spent alot of time driving and going to the sites on a boat and very little time doing the actual activity
