"The best cruise yet"

Room Type: Oceanview

The Carnival Liberty was a wonderful ship and of course, the crew was great too (with the exception of our formal dining staff - they were rude). This was our first 6 day cruise and the only problem was some scheduled maintenance they did which meant we left Ft. Lauderdale late, late in the evening, thereby missing our first night in the casino. We felt like it was another 5 day cruise because we did not get to enjoy gambling (or the shops) this first night. We really enjoyed all of the shows, John our Cruise Director was hilarious. The food on this ship was better than some of the other ships. We only ate in the formal dining room one night because of the wait staff. But the food at the other dining options were great. We really enjoyed the outside big screen and watching movies/concerts.

Pros: The ship was beautiful and we really enjoyed the ports of calls

Cons: This was our first 6 day cruise and we felt it was cut short because they scheduled some maintenance on the ship and we never left Fr. Lauderdale until late that evening. Missed a night at the Casino!

George Town, Grand Cayman
This was an awesome port. We will be back to Grand Cayman! We took a stingray/snorkel tour and we had the best time. The stingrays were awesome and we had the best day.
Don't Miss: Swimming with the stingrays and snorkling.
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
The casino was a big let down. Very small and not many options to play on the tables - they were closed with the exception of a $500 table! The expense to take a cab into town was expensive along with the shopping.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
This is our second time to this port and we love it. I really enjoy the flea market type shopping of handmade goods.
Don't Miss: There is a t-shirt shop, I cannot recall the name. The T-shirts are like $5.00 each and great, great quality. We always buy a ton of t-shirts for our family at this shop.
