Room Type: Balcony

The Liberty is a decent ship. It is one of the newer ships (2005) but my impression was that it doesn't really seem like a new ship. We had a balcony room, and it was your average type room and the balcony actually seemed old and run down. Nothing too modern about the room. It was pretty easy to get around. The dining rooms and entertainment room were decent. The ship had a waterslide which was fun. The pools were pretty small and the hot tubs varied in temps and were usually overcrowded. There is a big screen tv on the pool deck, where they show movies at night and random things during the day (surfing?). The entertainment during the day consisted mainly of a two man group singing 70's songs. It was a strange choice. At night, there were multiple options, piano bar, dance club, karaoke bar, sports bar, casino, etc. Some of these places allowed smoking which was strange. It had a gym and a running deck. Basketball hoop.

Pros: Stingrays,Waterfall, Waterslide, buffet

Cons: Multiple days at sea, Dinner, pizza bar

Recommends Carnival Liberty? No.

Entertainment

There was a variety of places to go on the ship to have fun. The piano bar was good at night, as the musician took requests. The sports bar was ok (must ask the bartender to actually put a game on). Casino was your basic ship casino. The shows at night were you average shows, comedy, dancing, talent show.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony room and it was pretty much standard room. Bed, little couch and the bathroom. Balcony rails seemed old even though it was a new ship
Food and Dining
I'm not a buffet person, but the buffet on the liberty was pretty good. They had a large variety and most everything seemed good. The pizza bar however (open 24 hrs) was horrible. They were putting american cheese slices on the pizza and making it that way. I like alot of different types of pizza and this by far the worst I've ever come by. Just unacceptable.
The dinners also were nothing to be happy about. Pretty much every meal was bland, overcooked, undercooked or just plan uninteresting. Flavorless. Even the desserts were bad. They tasted stale or frozen. it was definately not like 4 or 5 star dining. I'd give it more like a 2.
Ship Quality
The ship didn't seem big and was layed out similiar to other ships. It was a clean place and easy to get around
Service and Staff
The staff seemed happy to help with anything and were always around.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
We did the dunns waterfall and also the bamboo beach club. Climbing the waterfall is a nice experience. The people are nice, but you actually climb with a group and everyone holds hands. The bamboo beach club was a make shift club on the beach near the boat. It didn't have much of a swimming area, so if you want to hit the beach all day, you may want to check somewhere else
Don't Miss: Dunns falls

Key West, Florida
Having been to key west before, I knew what it was about. It's about drinking. So if you want to go to various bars and listen to music, that is what key west is for
Don't Miss: the lazy gecko, the southermost red sox bar
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is great for shopping, but also great for the beach. We did the swim with sting rays and that was certainly interesting, and we also went to Rum Point beach which was very nice.
