A fun cruise

Room Type: Inside

There were always activities going on which was nice, but there weren't always a lot of passengers participating in them. The dinning experience could have been a little bit better, but once we found the waitress we liked it was nice. And Harry's fine dinning restaurant was awesome, a must do. The chairs on the pool deck were hard to come by unless you were out there early in the morning. We also didn't have a whole lot of time in all the ports but enough that we still did what we wanted to do.

Pros: Lots to do

Cons: Had to get your deck chair early

Recommends Carnival Liberty? Yes!

Food and Dining
pretty good food. We had open dinning which was both good and bad. It was nice to be able to change our dinner times according to what we wanted to do on the boat or at port, but the first night the service wasn't so great. The next night we had a much better server and just requested them each night and our request was met all but one of the remaining nights. A must do though is Harry's restaurant. It's $30 extra and you need reservations but it's very elegant and the food is amazing.
Ship Quality
Everything was clean and in good working condition. The boat layout took a few days to navigate, and some areas seemed like they could have been better designed on the ship
Entertainment
There was a lot to do during the day. the shows at night were excellent.
Cabin / Stateroom
The beds were really comfortable, the room didn't have a lot of extra space but there was a lot of closet space to unpack all of our things. They also did a great job of cleaning the room twice a day.
Service and Staff
The "fun staff" that did the activities were great as was the cruise director. our stewards were excellent they would even hang up our clothes if we left them laying on the bed.
Cozumel, Mexico
The ruins of Tulum were a little hard to get to but were worth the trip, very beautiful. Shopping was fun here as well.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The beach was nice, that's all we did here. We also had lunch at a small restaurant which had great food and drinks but was expensive ... beware of the difference in currency here, the US$ is worth less than theirs.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
The Dunns River waterfall climb was a lot a lot of fun ... the people that take you are very nice but the people on the streets selling things are very pushy and will follow you. I'd recommend not bringing more money than you need and just being firm back w/ them.
Don't Miss: Dunns River Waterfall Climb
