A Honeymoon to Remember!

Sail Date: October 01, 2010

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our first time cruising and it was our Honeymoon so we wanted to make it as memorable as possible. We could not take in all the splendor and opulance of the Carnival Legend. It truly is a fantastic vessel. Then as we got used to the ship's daily routine, we really had a chance to investigate the various levels and appreciate every nuance each area had to offer. From the festival atmosphere of the Lido deck to the serenity of the Library, Carnival Legend has something for everyone. Shopping in "Rodeo Drive" was exciting (and we won one of the jewelry raffles as well!) and the Casino was fun, fun, fun! The Carnival Legend IS Legendary...

Pros: Fabulous service, excellent food, wonderful accommodations

Cons: Everyone in the Unicorn Cafe during Embarkation was over -whelming

Recommends Carnival Legend? Yes!

Food and Dining
From the Unicorn Cafe, which offers foods from many different taste palettes, to the Truffles resturant where the warm chocolate cake called my name every night... mmmm
Ship Quality
This ship is absolutely fantastic. It's a floating island of fun and relaxation.
Cabin / Stateroom
I found myself looking forward to the next night's towel animal on the bed!
Service and Staff
Our Cabin steward was very pleasant and courteous, answering any questions we had and always asking if we needed anything else.
The entertainment was fun to watch and fun to take part in. We came in second on the Latin/Salsa dance contest! So much to do or not to do as each day came.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The island tour was great. Learned alot about the Grand caymans (more than just international banking)
Don't Miss: The Sea Turtle breeding area is a MUST SEE. You can actually hold a baby sea turtle! This place gives you new appreciaition of the sea's animals.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Island port was so pretty, we disembarked even though we had no land excursion. Shops were beautiful and the island crafts, especially the mahogany woodwork, was amazing.
Don't Miss: Mahogany craftwork
Belize City, Belize
Sight and Sound Tour was a fun tour. The guide was knowledgable about the island's history and current day.
Don't Miss: The evolution of the Island music/dance show was awesome.
Cozumel, Mexico
Loved the port, so colorful. We brought extra water which is strongly recommended.
Don't Miss: Mayan Ruins of Tulum were fantastic and our guide was awesome (so much knowledge)
