Sail Date: September 01, 2010 Ship: Carnival Legend Cabin Type: Inside Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 7 years ago
We really loved the ship. It's very beautiful. We loved the pools, especially the adult pool area. We never had a problem finding a chair or a spot sitting around the pool. This was our 6th cruise and we truly loved every minute of it! We had a great experience with everything we did. It was definitely "more" than we ever expected.
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food for the most part was excellent. Every once in a while we had a steak that was a little tough, but the Lido food was always great as well as the Main Dining Room. The Maitre'D was excellent! We had early dining, and had to rush to see the sunset each evening.

We truly enjoyed the shows. Don't miss Max Winfrey, the juggler. He was hilarious and awesome - very entertaining. Everything was very good. There was always something to do - sometimes too many things to choose from. This cruise can be as relaxing or as busy as you would like it to be.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were in room 8261. This was an inside room and our first time having an inside stateroom. We were on the Panorama Deck and loved only being one flight of stairs away from the Lido deck. It was very convenient. Yes, we heard a few chairs moving around early in the morning, but we took a sound machine and that drowned out any noise that we heard. My parents were in 8253 and although they heard the noise, it wasn't a bother to them. We actually enjoyed having an inside room - we were able to sleep a little later. Take a clock though, because you will never know what time of day it is! Also there is only one plug in the room so be sure and take an extension cord. The shaver plug in the bathroom will only work with the light on. The bathrooms were very nice and large enough to keep all your toiletries nice and handy. There is a refrigerator in your room - you just have to ask your steward to unlock it if you would like to use it. The bed was very comfortable.
Pros: The ship was beautiful, easy to get around
Cons: Having to walk through the casino with the smoke - we learned to go around it!
