This was our first cruise so we did not have anything to rate against it. We did find it a bit gaudy and flashy for our taste. Our friends who had been cruising before said this was typical of some ships. The service in the dining room was superb. The whole staff was friendly and pampered us. There were some frayed edges on the ship. Nothing really taking away from the total experience.
If you want to shop for jewels or art.. Roaton Island, Honduras will not be your favorite spot. If you are in to experiencing another culture and enjoying what they have to offer.. this is ideal. We did not do an excursion, we grabbed a cab right off the boat and went up in to the hills. We waited and shopped there. We bought beautiful wood boxes to give as gifts...

Pros: Roatan Island by far... we got out in the countryside and met the people. WONDERFUL and not commericalized at all!

Cons: Belize was way over touristy... we went out of the tourist area and really liked it much more.

Recommends Carnival Legend? Yes!
