Recommended for families. We went as an older couple and were given open seating in dining room. It meant we could eat at any time (pro) but also that we were seated as a twosome (con) and we like meeting other guests at dinner. I love playing bingo...but $20 to play one game was a rip off. They were making thousands of dollars on it and paid out about $250 on average. Several times six numbers were called and the game was over after waiting 30 minutes for it to begin. Always late starting. Evening shows were excellent. One port of call was changed due to hurricane Gustov and the first night we rode on the edge of the hurricane but they kept us informed. The ship did toss a lot and many were sick but we used to cruise on the old ships so this was nothing. First time we had a balcony room and it was great. We found the ship very clean. Desserts on the Lido deck were better than the dining room. Can't understand that. Meals in the dining room were very good but not great. Saw a lot of kids eating hotdogs and fries and fries and fries! Why not use this time to have your kids try some new foods? Loved the variety of food on the Lido deck for lunch! Best ship we've sailed on for ease of embarkation and debarkation. Left from Tampa. Were returning a rental car to Thrifty at the airport and found out they offer a free ride to the cruise terminal and a free pick up after the cruise to get back to the airport!

Pros: food stations on the Lido deck for lunch

Cons: open seating in the dining room

Recommends Carnival Legend? Yes!
