A Fabulous Experience!!

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was beautiful. This was our first cruise and we just couldn't believe how large this floating hotel was. We were so impressed that the fitness area was so large, that there was high speed internet and that we could watch some of our favorite cable stations via satelite. We were also very impressed with how clean the ship was. The crew took painstaking efforts to make sure that the ship was spotless all the time.

Pros: We were really pleased that the staff was so well trained and organized; we were well informed, the opportunities for fun seemed endless and we felt cared for as if we were taking a private tour.

Cons: I thought the air conditioning was set too low throughout the ship. I felt chilled all the time - next time I'll bring a sweater.

Recommends Carnival Legend? Yes!

George Town, Grand Cayman
We really enjoyed the stingray tour. It felt a bit commercial since there were so many boats from other ships doing the same thing, but the experience was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities.
Belize City, Belize
We hired a local taxi driver to take us on a driving tour of this port. He did an excellent job telling us about his hometown and he provided us with a broad sweeping overview of this city instead of visiting typical tourist attractions. It was an election day and we were afforded an opportunity to see the political process in action as we drove through the streets of the city. What a wonderful experience!!
Cozumel, Mexico
We thought the Mexican cooking class was the best!! The chef and his staff were very knowledgeable, gave wonderful instructions and helped us along the way. At the same time, they had a great sense of humor and kept everyone laughing. We didn't realize that we would be indoors in an air conditioned room with state of the art appliances and utensils which really made the experience even better. There were only 9 people from our ship and 10 from another who signed up for this excursion - a perfect # for more individualized instruction. Finally, the food that we created and later ate were fabulous - an appetizer, main course and dessert. We would definitely recommend this to others.

We hired a local taxi driver and guide at this port to take us on a driving tour. He did an excellent job; we learned about his family and his experience growing up in this beautiful place and he provided us with a broad sweeping overview of this city instead visiting typical tourist attractions. He also arranged for us to stop to buy souvenirs and get a bite to eat. What fun!!
