Traveled As: Family (older children)

This was my second cruise, and first with Carnival. The ship was quite large, providing a week's worth of exploration and fun. Everything aboard was clean and well kept. Plenty of activities were run each day with impressive variety to appeal to a wide range of cruisers.

This wasn't my favorite port, but the shopping was fun! Plenty of stores as well as natives selling on the street.
Don't Miss: Pancho's Backyard (restaurant)

After shopping at the pier in the morning, we returned to the ship and ate lunch. We walked back down the long pier and then figured out how to get to the nearest town and beach. A short taxi ride (and only $2/person) later, we arrived at a beautiful beach. Swimming here completed my vacation perfectly!
Don't Miss: beach

We did a Carnival-affiliated excursion: Kayaking and visiting Bacab Eco Park. Kayaking through the rainforest was an amazing experience. I was slightly disappointed to not see much wildlife, but other aspects of the day more than made up for that. We drove 30-minutes through Belize to get to the eco park, which was nice in order to get a feel for the country. At the park, we were served an outstanding "traditional Belize" lunch.

We did a non-Carnival affiliated tour. We went to Stingray City and then snorkeling at a coral reef. Do NOT miss Stingray City! We were able to feed and pet the friendly stingrays and the water was pristine.
