i enjoyed this ship so much, that after sailing on it in march, i re-booked for october out of new york, and once again, i was not disappointed.....everything i had experienced the first time around was there for a return, except the charming captain garribbo, who is now aboard the miracle...but this captain was also outstanding in his friendliness and professional manner.
i was upgraded to deck six, and my room once again was clean, spacious and comfortable, not easy to do with an inside cabin.
my room steward was always there with a friendly hello and anything i needed.although i have heard some complaints about room stewards on carnival, i have never encountered a problem. here's a tip for would be cruisers...treat the staff like human beings. say hello, ask their name and where they're from, even though it's on their name badge, it just makes for a good ice breaker, and shows that you're friendly, and don't expect everything to be taken care of immediately. also, when someone goes out of their way, say thank you. it makes the staff feel human, and you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
the food and waiter service...superb! couldn't have asked for better. the food has definitely been going uphill since my first cruise, each time it's better and better.
the casino... a whole lot of fun, friendly staff, eager to please and smile when you "hit".
the entertainment....nothing short of great, all of it. i was pleasantly surprised to see the wonderful, outgoing jen, assistant cruise director, still on board. she really goes all out to accommodate each and every guest, even when she's been working all day... the acts, comedians david sayh, and hypnotist glenn miller...just fabulous...and something most people don't notice....whoever does the sound and the lighting on these shows really knows his stuff! i'm an entertainer in new york, and i'd give my right arm for effects like that. just makes for a great show.
all of the staff is to be commended for the fabulous job of making my cruise an absolute pleasure from boarding to disembarking....not one single exception among the lot....one little filipina lady, who was cleaning a bathroom on the last day, her name was leitza, was tiredly pushing a mop, and till smiled at me and said "good morning ma'am, how are you today?" that was one of the things that impressed me the most. little things always mean a lot.
give this ship a try, you will not be disappointed, i guarantee it.

Pros: entertainment, friendly crew, professionalism all over

Cons: nothing
