My family of four traveled with two other families. Combined, we have other 24 cruises to compare to, so I offer that our comments have some credibility. Our children range from 12-16. We all had a great time!! This was our first Carnival trip. We selected it because it was 8 nights and somewhat lower priced than the 7 night trips over the same week. We come from Long Island, and our schools close for Presidents' week. What a week to be out of that awful weather!! We went into this trip with slightly lower expectations than our former Celebrity, RCI, Princess and Costa cruises. Our expectations were exceeded! Here is our recap. Ship-brand new, clean well laid-out. Cabins-good sized well laid- out, cabin stewards were excellent. Food-actually the food, food, food!!! was better than expected and better than our last couple of higher priced trips. All 12 of us agree that the food was outstanding. Try the Supper Club--worth the $$$ and was a great meal. Entertainment-usual fair. I would do it again despite the following negatives: Very smoky ship, service levels troughout were less than expected, had to carry our own chairs that were on a stack around the pool, few activities going on all day especially for the kids. We had 5 stars of fun on this 4 1/2 star ship!! I recommend it. Enjoy!Joel from LI
