This was my first cruise on carnival. I always sailed royal caribbean and the concensus is correct. Royal Caribbean is a classier cruise line, but if you're looking for a good time that won't break the bank. Than I would recommend Carnival to you. We cruised on Legend, which is the largest and fastest of the medium sized ships. The cruise was a bit rocky at some points, but overall the ride was great. I highly recommend making reservations at the golden fleece supper club, what a great meal, much better than the normal dinners there. The pools were a little crowded, but you didnt have trouble finding chairs if you got there at a reasonable hour. We sailed the 8 day southern caribbean. if you do this, you must go on the sea turtle and shipwreck excursion in barbados. the name of the catamaran was the wildcat III. it was fantastic. overall, we had a great time and I would travel carnival again.

Food and Dining

what the food lacked in taste, the waiters made up in service. the golden fleece supper club was great. at an extra $30 per person, the meal was well worth it.....and the atmosphere of the supper club outshines the truffles dining hall by far. there was always food available and hardly any lines at all for lunch. i recommend getting breakfast from the buffet and eating it on your private balcony.

Kind of hard to find your room at times, especially after you have had a few. very clean
Cabin / Stateroom

we had a balcony room...do it. the room size is fine for the time you spend in it. the twin beds pushed together to make a bigger bed kind of was a downer when it was naughty time.
