Review summary

Very enjoyable vacation. Everyone from Embarkation staff at Long Beach Port to the staff onboard were great and very friendly, especially or room steward and table waiters. Food and entertainment/activities were wonderful and even though a short trip, it didn't seem like it, we still feel we were on vacation. Thank you!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and quick. Ever;y one was friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining room food was real good, chicken & fish a little dry. Buffet for most part was good, with a lot to choose from. Chocolate bar looked good, but flat on taste. Specialty places were great, but sometimes slow in getting food out do to not enough help especially at the pizza station.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
For a 3 day cruise there was a lot of activities to enjoy. We enjoyed the game show and bingo.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to the stage shows and they were wonderful. Performers did a great job!

Children's Programs

We did not have any young children in our group

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent service. Out stateroom Steward Gede was personable and attentive making sure we had what we needed. He went above our expectations. Our table waiters were out of the world. NiLuh our head waiter was great!!! So impressed how she remember everyone's names at the table. Had full knowledge of the menu and made great suggestion and helped with substitutions. She was attentive to everyone at the table and got us active during their performances. Learned a move or two. LOL The other two waiters, I Dewa and Ragui were wonderful as well making sure our orders got to us in a timely manner, our water was full, drinks orders taken care of etc... If we could chose our room steward and waiters we would be definitely requesting these four again. They made our cruise that much more enjoyable. Well Done!!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Not being on any other ship then carnival I'm not sure how to rate the layout and design. Everything was excess-able, and fairly easy to get to. Decor was nice, kind of a Las Vega style and everything was clean and well maintained. We would cruise this ship again.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had four adults in our room, but surprisingly there was more room then we had expected. Beds were real comfortable. Everything real clean and enough closet space for all our belongings. Temperature control kinda simple and hard to regulate, but not bad. If more the 3 days we would probably get two rooms, but overall we were satisfied and enjoyed our stay.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
This port was our Embarkation location, so no excursion other then purchasing the Faster to Fun which was great. Utilizing the Spruce Goose hanger was a great idea, made things much more comfortable and fast. Great Job!!

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
Port was clean and within walking distance to downtown Ensenada. We went on the Jeep excursion which we enjoyed, but was thinking it to be more of some easy off roading or that's what the advertising lead us to believe. It was more of a Jeep driving trip. Everything else with the excursion was nice, beautiful scenery, great Wine & Tequila tasting, nice lunch and friendly/knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed our excursion, but once done would probably do something different.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Everything was seamless, and had no stress. Even got to enjoy one last breakfast buffet without feeling rushed.
