Review summary

This specific cruise was a 3 day "booze" cruise as I had been warned. It's true! From the time we got on the ship things were very different than the 4 day. The bars were packed and the buffet and Guy's Burgers were not! The muster drill was a breeze and very casual. The deck/atrium parties were packed with happy people. It was a ton of fun. It was in late September so there weren't too many kids hanging around but I would be comfortable taking mine (teenagers) if they wanted to go on the 3 day. Lots of groups on board. We had gone on the Imagination this past spring and were nervous that this experience would be similar to that one. On that one the MDR was chaotic and Alchemy had such a disappointing bartender/vibe that I had to talk a ladies boyfriend into going on another cruise with her since it was not like anything I had ever experienced before. Boy was I happy with the MDR, Alchemy, Cruise Director (Nono), Front desk and deck fun. This was exactly the fun and service I love about Carnival. A few day away from the hustle and bustle of reality with friends was had. Cheers to all of my fellow Carnival lovers out there!

Alchemy Bar

Michelle is back and keeps the delicious drinks flowing! I really do enjoy that they have a bar worth paying for an overpriced drink. I sure wish I could recreate some of the drinks I have had over the years! Anyone out there have any luck perfecting any of them? Cheers!

We never want to take any but always end up buying a few! I absolutely love some of our formal photos over the years. My kiddos always seem to come home with one or two that the group they meet through camp take. This past cruise we got waved over to the Seuss at Sea backdrop and ended up buying the funniest photo taken that weekend! I always get such a kick out of the photo gallery.Cheese!

Art Gallery

Anyone else use to collect and become disappointed? I did actually get a few good deals in the past. Now it seems to be overpriced, paintings made for the company and no energy left in the art auctions. I'm not sure if we are approaching it wrong or if it has changed over the past few years. Would love to know if anyone has any pointers.

The new renovation makes it a lot quicker. You will not need faster to the fun anymore. We did check our luggage so we wouldn't have to lug it up the long walkway! We always stay at the Maya the night before using the Carnival Park and Cruise package.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
When visiting Ensenada with our kids we have learned that it is worth spending the money to book an excursion. So far the best one was visiting the wine country and riding ATVs. We went with friends this time on a 3 day. Just spent the day walking around, Papas & Beer and eating at some new restaurants & taco carts.

Disembarkation

You will be disembarking down the same walkway you walked up on during embarcation. It is a long walk! Customs is simple. You will not need to fill out any forms when you get off. Just make sure to have your IDs out!
