Low Cost But Disappointing Cruise

Sail Date: October 02, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Having taken two previous cruises on a different cruise line, I approached this short  trip with an open mind.  However, there were several disappointments during the four days.  Our number one complaint was the food.  The food from the Lido restaurant was never hot, poor selections, and very dated decor.  Our first evening meal was in the Mardi Gras dining room and after a disappointing meal we decided to eat in the Lido dining room the next night.  That was worse so the third night we went back to the Mardi Gras dining room.  On the last night of our cruise the bathroom backed up.  We found the ship small with no Crow's Nest (my favorite space on any ship), no promenade deck for walking, no movie theater, poor entertainment, very loud Library, etc.  However, our steward was fantastic.  The cost for this 4-day cruise was very reasonable, but the cruise was very disappointing.

Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was austere but very clean. Our steward was terrific - very polite, concerned and attentive.
