A "special" trip

Sail Date: October 31, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was older and small, but they had some nice events. We unfortunately had one person die after being evacuated. We couldn't go to Grand Cayman because of this incident. We had to medivac another passenger on the way back to Key West. This was no one's fault. The crew was friendly. They were repainting the ship as we were boarding.

Pros: We had a beautiful view of the sea and moon every day

Cons: The food was tasty at all the first day, except the freshly made pizza. It got better as the cruise progressed.

Recommends Carnival Inspiration? Yes!

Food and Dining
The food has a weird affect on me on day one. The dining staff was great.
Ship Quality
As mentioned it's older, but the try to maintain it. The miniature golf was simple, but not well-maintained. The ship was clean. We were impressed that they clean your room twice a day.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was a comfortable size and we had large windows.
Entertainment
We went to a couple of shows. There were good aspects, but largely mediocre or lame. The games and family comedy shows were good. Would be nice if there were more options.
Service and Staff
Great staff on all levels. Except for one person everyone was great. Took good care of us, especially our cabin staff.
Cozumel, Mexico
We went to a nearby museum that was education, particulary since we were the only ones there. The driver who gave us the free ride to town attached to our museum fee recommended a nice local restaurant off the main roads. Great authentic food at a reasonable price. We found some nice items in some of the stores and were able to bargain. You have to shop around.
