Overall, this ship was as advertised. Our room (base interior)was of good size and nice decor. There were only two shows during our 5 day cruise which was fewer than on an equal length cruise on a sister ship. Most of the ship is well-kept. The dress code could use enforcement. The shore excursions were overpriced and not amazing quality.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The breakfasts could use a lot of work. Runny eggs on the buffet and cold sausage and food at the main dining room breakfasts were disappointing. Lunch varied with some sort of theme on the buffet and was decent in the main dining room. Nothing exceptional. Dinner in the main dining room was generally good to exceptional. Some of the items were not fully cooked (the chocolate melting cake was runny and separated into oil and chocolate in my spoon) or tough, but most were good. Room service was very limited in options but okay for what was offered.

The dancers on this ship were just okay, and there were only two large production shows (Shout, Fiesta Latina). The talent show was good overall. There were onboard activities such as games, but these were poorly thought out (Scattergories took 5 minutes per round to check as the spread out players were individually checked). The pool and hot tubs were always full, and mini-golf was a long wait.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff overall was very good. Dario, the Maitre'D was generally very accomodating if overly-careful when trying to rectify a seating mishap between our parties. Our dinner servers were excellent, though at breakfast and lunch they were generally non-plussed to serve us. Our room steward, Santiago, was an absolute pleasure and greeted us almost daily with a large smile. He also went above and beyond compared to other stewards on the ship by putting our champagne in a bucket of ice with two champagne flutes after we had simply left it in the ice bucket to chill. We had one very confrontational bar runner who disappeared for 45 minutes after taking our order, argued that we'd never made the order, and then argued to our faces after I went to the bar to get the order that his friend had brought it and he saw it himself.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is a good size for the length of cruises it takes. The overall layout is pretty simple. The public restrooms were always clean, and most of the public areas were as well. The decor in the Brasserie buffet area was very strange and showing signs of age.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For an interior stateroom for 2 this was a great size. There was plenty of room for us to move around without feeling bottled up. The bathroom was smallish, but very clean. For two there was plenty of closet space, but not enough hangars. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. My real complaint was that there was a near constant sound of children/people running down the hall and even walking seemed amplified to the point of annoyance. Friends staying on the outside of the ship complained of loud noises when tendering and docking began and some random loud noises throughout.

Pros: Waiters, Room Steward, Cabin Size

Cons: Shore Excursions, Picture Prices, Hall Noise
