A Nice Cruise

Sail Date: August 23, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This was a nice cruise, but not even close to being great! The ship was old but clean. There was only one pool on this cruise and it was jam packed every day. The cruise ships we have been on before had more than one and it was very helpful. The slides were nice but were closed for hours because the open wind of the ocean.

Pros: Activities director made the cruise very fun for everyone! (Matt)

Cons: Only a few food lines were open at the busiest breakfast and lunch times

Recommends Carnival Inspiration? No.

Service and Staff
One example was that my hair dryer didn't work in the plug ins so I went down to the salon and ask to use the dryer and they wanted to charge me $35 the same cost to wash and style. I thought this was bit much.
Food and Dining
Dining room was nice but Lido deck food lines were never open. Only one side at a time. It made it difficult to eat quickly. They would wait until it was packed before they would open both sides. The other thing that was a pain is the ice cream machines were either almost empty and location was in a bad spot which made all the kids constantly running the into the dinning room. Other ships have them on both sides on the Lido Deck. When its hot this is a wonderful treat on the boat.
Ship Quality
Everything was clean but old. We heard this was going to be dry docked soon.
Cabin / Stateroom
average size but always clean.
I have seen much better entertainment on other ships. Two days of cruise ship dancers, the singers were good but one night was filled with ship entertainment. Not good at all!
George Town, Grand Cayman
loved the public beach where you could rent snorkle gear for only $5 and catch a cab for only $5 each way. Great savings and wonderful stay. Coral right off the beach lots of fish to see.
Don't Miss: snorkle at 7 mile beach
Cozumel, Mexico
This was the better town to shop in and to buy items to take home like vanilla, jewlery, and small gifts or kids.
Don't Miss: Amazing Race was wonderful!
