Fun Family Time

Sail Date: January 01, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

There was 9 of us that sailed on this cruise as a family vacation. We ranged in age from the 60's to 2 and found that there was something for everyone. The staff was very friendly, the food was good and the entertainment was varied enough to keep us all interested. The kids program was a real pleasure. It was very nice to be able to drop the children off for some adult time and then pick them up for some family time. It made traveling with 4 young children much less stressful. Our only real complaint was the tendering to the ports. It took hours for us to get off in Cozumel and hours to get back to the boat. WIth the short time in port, this really puts a crimp into what you can do.

Pros: Kids Program

Cons: Tendering to the Ports

Recommends Carnival Inspiration? Yes!

George Town, Grand Cayman
We immediately got off the tender and headed to our tour. When it was over we immediately got on line to return to the ship because the tender line was already very long. We didn't feel like we got to see very much of this port due to the tendering issues. However, the tenders were constantly running and did a good job of keeping people moving.
Don't Miss: Stingray city was our excursion which would have been great if the waves weren't so large. They made it very difficult to stand / feed the rays.
Cozumel, Mexico
There wasn't really much for us to do in this port with such small children, so we headed to Paradise Beach. It was very crowded and a $28 cab ride each way for the 9 of us to get there. The floor of the ocean was rocky. Once again tendering was an issue. If you didn't book an excursion with the cruise ship you waited until last to get off the boat. This was hours after we had gotten into port. And to come back on the tender we waited over an hour in line and then almost 40 minutes on the tender before we got back to the ship. It wasn't a very good experience.
