We cruised on the Carnival Inspiration from 3/27/10-4/1/10. This was our first cruise as with our kids (age 14 and 12). We had a GREAT time! The service was top-notch. We also found the food to be excellent. We have vacationed at several "all-inclusives" in Mexico and felt the food on our cruise was much better.

We were impressed with the ease of embarkation and debarkation. The cruise director was very funny.

Pools were extremely over-crowded as well as the surrounding deck areas. It was quite difficult to find beach chairs especially on days at sea.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food and wait-staff. Our dining time was one of our favorite times of the day. The chocolate melting cake is delicious.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality entertainment. The shows should not be missed.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My son liked the program. However, my daughter is a little shy around people she doesn't know. She said the director did not do much to help her fit in. But to be fair, my daughter may not have tried hard, either.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent service all round! They really cared about providing wonderful service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean. There were always staff members cleaning the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our inside stateroom was small, yet it was adequate and we managed just fine.

Pros: Food quality & service

Cons: Over-crowded pools & deck
